24 hours notice

If you cancel or rearrange an appointment at least 24 hours before it is due to start, there is no cancellation charge. If you have paid in advance for a remote appointment, the payment can be refunded or, if you prefer, transferred to a new appointment. 

Less than 24 hours notice 

If you cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment, or are unavailable for an agreed appointment, a cancellation charge of up to 50% of the booked appointment fee may apply where this reasonably reflects the loss caused by the late cancellation.

If you'd like to rebook 

I understand that plans sometimes change unexpectedly. If you cancel less than 24 hours before the appointment but rebook the appointment to take place within 7 days, I may choose to waive or reduce the cancellation charge, depending on the circumstances and whether I have suffered a loss. This is at my discretion and will be confirmed with you when we rearrange the appointment.

If I can fill the appointment 

If I am able to avoid or reduce the loss caused by a late cancellation, for example because I am able to use the time for other paid work, any cancellation charge will be reduced accordingly.

Remote appointments paid in advance 

If a telephone, video or online appointment has been paid for in advance and a cancellation charge properly applies, only the amount of that charge will be retained. Any remaining balance will be refunded or, if agreed, transferred to a rearranged appointment.

If I need to cancel 

If I need to cancel or rearrange an appointment, there will of course be no cancellation charge. Any advance payment for work that has not been provided will be refunded or transferred to a new appointment, whichever you prefer.

Your statutory cancellation rights 

These appointment cancellation arrangements do not remove or restrict any statutory rights you may have. Where a contract made by telephone, email, WhatsApp or online carries a statutory 14-day cancellation right, the separate cancellation provisions in my Terms & Conditions will also apply. If you ask me to begin work during that period, I will obtain the appropriate express request before starting.

Please let me know as soon as you can. I will always try to be reasonable where circumstances genuinely change, while also protecting time that has been reserved especially for you.
